First time you log into the VLE...

You need to fill the "Login" block -top right column on screen - with the same details (username and password) that you use for logging into the Staff Intranet. This information should have been provided by Human Resources.

Remember that your username for logging into the Staff Intranet is different from your username for logging into the Novell Intranet. For the VLE, you need to use your Staff Intranet username and password.

If you need to change/reset your password, you need to do it via the Staff Intranet website.


I did follow the instructions and logged into the VLE, but I am prompted to fill my profile again... why is that?

This is because you are creating a new user account, and that is not what you want.

You need to type the same logging details that for the Staff Intranet. If, after typing them, the problem persists, contact the VLE Helpdesk at: c24@carnegiecollege.ac.uk quoting "Staff" in your request.


I am filling my user profile for the first time, then it stops in the description box and i cannot save it... what shall I do?

Yes, sometimes you may get stuck in the "Description" box, independently of the browser you use. In this case, just log out and log in again, and the problem should be sorted. If it isn't, contact the VLE Helpdesk at: c24@carnegiecollege.ac.uk quoting "Staff" in your request.
